The Janitor Gets a New UFC Deal
ALCHEMIST MANAGEMENT FIGHTER VLADIMIR “THE JANITOR” MATYUSHENKO
SIGNS FOUR-FIGHT CONTRACT WITH UFC
Los Angeles, Calif. – August 23, 2010 – Alchemist Management today announced via its website that light-heavyweight fighter Vladimir “The Janitor” Matyushenko has signed a four-fight contract with the UFC®, the world’s leading professional MMA association.
Matyushenko has been fighting professionally in MMA since 1997 and he holds a 24-5 professional record. Matyushenko looks forward to stepping back into the Octagon to display his talents. In addition to fighting, Matyushenko runs his own gym in El Segundo, California called VMAT where he trains everyone from fellow pro fighters to beginners. Matyushenko is a former IFL light-heavyweight champion.
Prior to his pro MMA career, Matyushenko was a standout wrestler in the former Soviet Union. He moved to the U.S. in 1994 and enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he received a degree in Physical Education and Health Science while competing on the wrestling team.
